Washington State Heritage Caucus

The Heritage Caucus meets regularly while the Washington State Legislature is in session to discuss heritage, arts, and other cultural and recreational issues.

The Heritage Caucus meets every Wednesday of the legislative session from 7:00 to 8:00 am in Olympia, on the Capitol Campus (PDF) in Cherberg Building conference room A/B (parking information). All meetings are open to public.

The Heritage Caucus is co-chaired by Sen. Jim Honeyford (R), 15th District, and Rep. Kevin Van De Wege (D), 24th District; and co-staffed by Mark Vessey of the Washington State Historical Society (WSHS) and Cathy Cochrane of the Washington State Arts Commission.

The final Heritage Caucus for the 2012 Legislative Session was held Wednesday, March 7.

Caucus meetings usually consist of a review of pending legislation followed by one or two short (10-15 minutes) presentations as time allows.
