Grants to Organizations - Grants Process

This overview provides the general course of the process. There are variations in the review of grant applications for each of the four categories of grants within the Grants to Organizations Program. For more specific details, please refer to the guidelines for each category.

The focus of the evaluation and review of all applications is based on the written response and support materials submitted with each application.

1. Grant applications are reviewed initially by staff for eligibility

2. Applications are reviewed by a peer panel or review committee that makes initial funding recommendations.

3. The full Commission performs a final review, approval, and determines funding amounts.

4. Grants to Organizations provides each applicant with a written notification of the final Commission action.
