Grants to Organizations - Cooperative PartnershipsWSAC enters into Cooperative Partnerships with statewide arts service organizations to advance our goals and priorities. Cooperative Partnerships enable WSAC to extend our reach by partnering with organizations that provide services to support artists and arts professionals across the state of Washington.
WSAC directly invites a number of statewide arts service organizations to apply for Cooperative Partnership grants. These are project grants, not operating support grants. Other statewide arts service organizations may apply and will be given equal consideration based on the eligibility requirements and application review criteria. The following are our current Cooperative Partnerships.
Artist Trust, based in Seattle, supplies an invaluable service to individuals: holding informational workshops, providing direct funding support, and acting as an advocate on behalf of artists across the state. For more than a decade, Artist Trust has facilitated the Arts Commission’s fellowships to individual artists, and serves as an important partner in providing training, resources, and support for artists.
We partner with Arts Northwest to provide the performing arts field with the annual Northwest Booking Conference. The Conference is an opportunity for performing arts presenters to enhance their professional capabilities and increase booking opportunities.
Centrum, located at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, provides artists, students and arts participants a diverse array of cultural enrichment opportunities. Centrum was created in 1973 in a partnership between the Washington State Arts Commission and the Washington State Parks Commission, and later Washington's Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Our work with ArtsEd Washington was formalized with a Cooperative Partnership grant that has been funded since Fiscal Year 2008. Our funding supports ArtsEd Washington’s efforts to expand their statewide reach, to coordinate information and activities around our state’s Arts Education Month, and to support the Arts Education Research Initiative through community conversations and messaging with key stakeholders. | ||||
