Arts in Education - Poetry Out Loud Registration

Completing this form registers your school as a participant in the Washington State Poetry Out Loud program.

Each participating school should have a minimum of 2-4 participating teachers, who are each involving 2 or more of their classes in the Poetry Out Loud program. 9th – 12th grade students are eligible for the competitions.


One Lead Teacher should serve as the primary program contact for this school; that person should complete this form, and should list him/herself as well as all other participating teachers in the "teacher and classroom participation" section below.


After this form is submitted, a registration confirmation will be emailed to both the Lead Teacher and the school principal. The Poetry Out Loud program coordinator for your region will be in touch with you to make sure you receive your program materials.

As the lead teacher for the Poetry Out Loud program at the school listed above, I agree to be the point person for program information, to disseminate program information to the other participating teachers at my school, and to ensure that they follow through with appropriate classroom-level competitions. I will organize the school-wide final in accordance with the Poetry Out Loud guidelines, and will support the participation of our school winner at the regional final in February.
